PinClip always fetches the highest-quality file Pinterest makes publicly available for a pin — up to 4K when the pin was uploaded in 4K. We never compress or re-encode.
Which links work with PinClip?＋
Any public Pinterest pin — a full pinterest.com/pin/… link or a pin.it short link. Videos, images, GIFs, carousels and idea pins are all supported. Private or login-only pins are not.
Do I need to log in to Pinterest?＋
No — and PinClip never asks for your Pinterest account. We can only fetch pins that are already public; anything behind a Pinterest login stays out of reach.
Why did my download fail?＋
Usually one of three reasons: the link isn't a public pin (private or deleted pins can't be fetched), Pinterest briefly rate-limited us (wait a minute and retry), or Pinterest changed its page format — if the same link keeps failing, check back later; we ship fixes quickly.
Where do downloaded files go on iPhone / Android?＋
On iPhone, files land in the Files app under Downloads (On My iPhone or iCloud Drive); you can move a video to Photos from there. On Android, look in the Downloads folder via your Files app, or in your browser's download history.
Do you store my links or downloaded files?＋
No. Your link is used only to fetch the media from Pinterest's public servers, and downloads stream straight to your device. We don't keep a copy of your links or files.
Is it legal to download Pinterest videos?＋
Download content only when you have the right to do so — for personal use, with the creator's permission, or for content you own. Respect copyright and Pinterest's terms of service. PinClip is a tool; you are responsible for how you use it.
